Artist's Comments

This is a 3 picture panoramic [][][] taken last night on a hike. This came out great and I have now been inspired to take more nighttime shots. I'm kinda straying away from all the geology photos (I'm still doing those since it is my career, in geology), not the most popular unless they are really cool landscapes and I am broadening my horizons, oh yeah!!

Beautiful. (: I love looking out airplane windows and seeing views like these.

Where was this taken?

A great transition from the city to mountains.

It's good that you are expanding your photography, though I know that there are those that appreciate your landscapes, as your appreciation of the scenery shows.

Thanks, I appreciate it! Yeah, geology/landscape photographs are fun and I would like to have more people look at my work. Its frustrating when you know that some of your work is good but nobody looks at it. That's why I am broadening my work, hopefully its a good transition. I am not always out in the field as a geologist, usually it is for field trips and such. So I need to fill up the other time with other photographic ventures, which I love. Thanks for the comment, many thanks!

I was right! I thought that looked a lot like BYU down there!

This is fabulous. I don't know if it's my computer but it looks like a really highly compressed image, it seems very pixelated.

 This was taken on a hike near Provo, Utah. Behind are mountains and we hiked up quite away for the sunset. One of the sunsets can be seen here, [link] Thanks for commenting!
